Friends of Glendale Memorial Hospital
Glendale Memorial Health Foundation’s “Friends of Glendale Memorial Hospital” is a program that recognizes the commitment of donors who through their continuous and generous philanthropic support provide meaningful help to the programs and services of Glendale Memorial Hospital.
“Philanthropy plays a vital role in healthcare today,” commented Jeffrey Close, Senior Vice President for Fund Development, “considering the manor in which hospitals are under-reimbursed for services by insurance companies and the government, without thoughtful and generous help from the community Glendale Memorial – or any hospital in the country – could not possibly provide the range or quality of care we deliver.”
The “Friends of Glendale Memorial Hospital” acknowledges and thanks donors who make annual contributions of $1000 or more in support of hospital services. “Friends” gifts are pooled each year and the money is used to acquire important medical equipment which the hospital cannot fund through its annual operating budget.
“The ‘Friends’ have had significant impact on our hospital,” observed Craig Warden, Chairman of the program. “Because of their gifts Glendale Memorial Health Foundation has extra money to expedite the purchase of vital medical equipment for every department in the hospital.”
“To say thank you to our ‘Friends’,” he added, “the Foundation is pleased to provide a range of useful, complimentary services.”
Among the benefits of becoming a “Friend of Glendale Memorial Hospital,” members of the household are enrolled in the hospital’s data bank which helps expedite registration for hospital services, provides concierge amenities, and parking at the hospital. “Friends” also have the option to participate in the emergency information database which gives emergency service personnel 24 hour access to an individual’s medical history.
